How to Receive God's Heart for the Lost

Chris: Hey Nancy. Hey Dan. Praise God forevermore for a new week. I’m excited to be with both of you today.

To get us started, we typically go through testimonies from prior weeks, prophetic declarations that we made, a guided meditation, more prophetic declarations, any ministry announcements we need to cover, and then we close the meeting.

Last week, I really felt called to do more than just share a bunch of separate words. I felt led to use discernment to pull the various prophetic words into one consistent theme, because we enter into the heavenlies as one. Our message of what God is speaking to us is one. That also gives us the ability to look back at prior weeks and recognize what God has been saying.

Before we dive into this week, we want to reflect on the prophetic declarations we’ve made over our ministry and what God is doing in the world. Over the last six weeks, Dan and I, as well as Chris, have given testimonies about the various ways God has been moving in our midst through what we are discerning in heaven and calling out on the earth. Last week was no different.

The theme was this. As we become one in the body of Christ, expect God’s resurrection power to be poured out on and through us. Things that we thought were dead are coming to life. Praise God for that.

Dan, I have a couple of testimonies on last week’s declaration, but I’d love for you to go first, brother.

Dan: God had given me a couple of things in the last season, and I was not seeing much progress in them, especially in the two gifts God has given me. The first is the evangelistic gift. I was not having many encounters in that area, and I was wondering what was going on. I thought maybe it was just seasonal.

Last week, I was coming back from somewhere, and there was a man lying almost in front of my house unconscious. Everyone had passed him by. If you looked at that part of the street quickly, he might have looked like a large bag. But I saw it was a human being.

I went down there and did not know what to do, but I was with another friend, and we called 911. Because of that call, the man got into an ambulance and was probably safe, because he had probably overdosed and it was freezing cold out here. He was out cold, but he was breathing.

God had said the homeless were going to be my portion, and I had not seen much of that for a very long time. So that felt like resurrection power, not just in my ministry or walk with God, but also resurrection power in that man’s life. I think just by being present and calling for help, that man will be resurrected.

The other part was this. Thanks to this ministry, I have been praying prophetically for a lot of people. But being able to prophesy in front of everyone, where people would honor you as a prophet, had not happened for many weeks.

Then there was an event I got pulled into, and God said, “You have to go there.” I came late, but I was still there, and I was asked to prophesy alongside other major prophets, people who were already established in that work. It was one of those settings where you do not know who you are going to prophesy over. Someone just appears, and you have to get a word for them. It is like prophesying on demand under pressure.

I was accurate every time. There was one girl sitting at the far end, and I kept seeing something funny, like Psyduck from Pokémon, shaking his head. Psyduck always had headaches, so I asked her, “Are you getting a lot of headaches?” She said, “Oh my God, yes. You do not know the level of headaches I am getting.”

To be able to minister to her in front of everyone and in a public setting felt like resurrection power being poured out. That is my testimony. Praise God. Thank you, Jesus.

Chris: Dan, what was the name we put to your bruise?

Dan: Insufficiency.

Chris: Do you think you feel insufficient when you are not honored in your prophetic calling?

Dan: I have felt bruised, yes.

Chris: Brother, that is what I was sensing as I listened to you. I heard your heart saying, “I feel insufficient.” The goal is always to praise God even when you feel insufficient. God still died on the cross for you. He rose from the dead. He died not only for you, but as you. So when He resurrected, you resurrected.

Learning how to praise God despite feeling that insufficiency matters. Then, sure enough, even though you felt insufficient, you kept moving forward. You still went to that church service, and now people are calling you to prophesy alongside other prophetic people. Then you have this amazing testimony, being able to call out that woman’s headaches, and prayerfully she is supernaturally healed from them moving forward.

That is what is at stake. Satan wants you to feel so insufficient that you do not even show up. But because you said, “Even though I feel insufficient, I am still going to move forward,” you went, and look at what happened. We are going to get into that more in a little bit, but I wanted to affirm you in that, brother.

I have a couple of testimonies too. One is that I took my son Carter to his elementary school variety show on Saturday morning. He was the announcer. They held it at a movie theater in Downers Grove, so it was this big theater with lights and the whole production.

He had been very negative at first, but when he walked in and saw some friends, he became grateful. From my perspective, something we thought was dead came to life. Carter did not let fear and anxiety stop him from moving in his calling. It is so clear that he is an evangelist and very charismatic. Dan, you are going to get to experience him this weekend, and I think you will see the call on his life. Watching him felt like the resurrection power of God flowing through that situation.

After the event, I told Carter he could pick wherever he wanted to go for lunch, and he chose Chick-fil-A. While we were there, a woman working at Chick-fil-A was organizing ketchup packets and arranging the stations. They were eating, and I was fasting, so I spent the time praying for this woman.

I really felt like God was calling out the resurrection of her dream of being a ballerina. I shared with her, “Hey Abby, have you ever wanted to do ballet? I see you like an elegant swan, able to move your body to glorify God.”

She said, “Yes, I have always wanted to be a ballerina, but because of family circumstances and money, I have never been able to pursue it.” So I blessed her and encouraged her.

Then it was also a big family weekend because two of my nephews were in state championship hockey games. One is 12 and the other is 13.

On Sunday, while driving back, I felt the Holy Spirit encouraging me to stop for gas, even though I had enough to get home. I stopped at the gas station, and they did not take Apple Pay at the pump, so I had to go inside to put money down before pumping. As I walked in, a guy came up and asked me for a lighter. Right away, something jolted in me. You can tell when something is going on with a person.

I said, “No, I’m sorry, brother. I do not smoke, so I cannot help you,” and I kept going about my business. But then I realized he had left the store and was standing outside. At that point, I knew the Holy Spirit had set this up.

I went outside, looked him in the eyes, and asked, “Are you okay?” He gave the worldly answer, “Yeah, I’m fine.” Then I took my sunglasses off so he could see my eyes, and I asked again, “No, are you okay?” I just looked at him.

At first, I think he thought I was looking for a fight. But when he realized I had compassionate eyes, he asked, “What do you mean by that?” I told him, “It looks like you are about to light up a joint, and I have been through an immense amount of suffering. So much so that I almost took my life at 22 because of sex, drugs, and rock and roll.”

Then I started sharing the testimony of God saving my life. He suddenly blurted out, “She broke my heart,” and began bawling his eyes out. I grabbed him like he was my son and held him for probably three or four minutes while he cried on my shoulder.

I did not even move into prophetic ministry at first. The Holy Spirit was just ravishing this guy’s heart. I could feel the resurrection power of God flowing through my body and into this man, who was probably 26 or 27 years old. It may have been the first time he had cried in front of another person in who knows how long.

Then I started explaining deliverance and asked if he wanted us to pray together and cast out some demonic spirits. He said yes, and we got to take care of some of those things. I will not get into all of that for the sake of time. We prayed together, and he committed to going back to his church, St. Mary’s, which was nearby.

I encouraged him about the power of the sacraments, about reconciling with God and confessing to a priest so that 80-pound weight could come off his back and he could move forward. He said, “I really feel like I need to do that.” We exchanged contact information.

Then I went back to pump gas and realized I had timed out, so I had to go inside and pay again. When I went back in, that same guy was in there trying to get a lighter. He did not have any money, so I bought it for him and he left.

Now the store manager was curious about what was going on. He started talking to me, and he was a fellow brother from India and Hindu. So I got to share the testimony of your life, Dan, about worshiping Hindu gods and how that created demonic oppression in your family’s life. Then he started telling me about this man and how he had created a lot of problems for the night shift. They were scared of him because of his anger and frustration.

I encouraged him, and I gave him a testimony Mark shared with me about another 7-Eleven owner in Los Angeles playing Gregorian chant, which stopped people from urinating on the store, breaking things, vandalizing, and stealing. I pulled out my phone because I have a Gregorian chant playlist I sometimes play at night to help with demonic oppression, and he took a picture of it and was very encouraged.

I tried to get him to accept Christ as Lord and Savior, but he was not ready to go there. Still, I loved him and encouraged him. It felt like a two-for-one. You think you are casting a line for one fish, but God pulls two into your boat.

It was also wild because I was just loving this guy outside the store. He is crying in my arms, and I am not thinking anything of it. I am just there to help this brother, cast off a bunch of demons, and send him on his way. Then I talk to the store owner, and he is saying, “This guy is demonized. He is breaking stuff. He is violent and scary.” My experience was the exact opposite. I was thinking, “He is like this wounded little bird, and I was able to love him like a dad and see God’s resurrection power.” I was even prophesying to the store owner, saying, “Do not worry about that guy. His life is going to be amazing. His life is going to be completely different.”

Praise your name, God.

Dan: That is an amazing testimony. It was not just one testimony. It was multiple testimonies wrapped into one, and it was clearly coming from God. It is an example of God’s resurrection power at so many different levels.

For that young man who had not experienced love, it was almost like the resurrection of Christ’s love in his life. When you can represent God prophetically to someone and make them feel loved by God, that is one of the purest acts of obedience you can do.

Praise God for organizing that, and thank you for your obedience as well. You could have easily walked away, but you did not. To hug someone whom others would have gotten into a fight with takes a lot of courage and conviction. Praise God that He actually poured His capacity to love others into your heart so that you could hold this brother. I do not know his name, but I am sure his life is changed. At the very least, he is going to look back and think, “If God can do this, God can do a lot more.” That was probably the resurrection of his faith journey.

For the Indian man, Indians are often resistant to accepting Christ because they need to see things work out. But brother, I am sure you have planted a mighty seed. If you are supposed to water it, God will take you back there. That is what the Bible says. We are only supposed to plant and water seeds. Growth comes from God. As he starts playing that Gregorian chant, you do not know what God is going to do in his life. One day all his resistance may be destroyed, and God may tell him, “You have been praying to Me without knowing it for a very long time. Let Me welcome you into the fold.”

What you have done may go down generations. Thank you for being obedient.

Chris: Thank you. One thing he said to me was, “I honor all religions.” I told him, “I do not, because I follow the only God who claimed to be God and resurrected, which means I serve a living God.”

When Billy’s life is transformed and this guy comes back and sees him filled with love, showing kindness, no longer creating issues in the store, no longer being a liability, he will need to realize that the reason is not Christopher. It is Jesus Christ who transformed his life. Give all glory to Jesus. The fact that He is alive has nothing to do with me. It has everything to do with Jesus Christ.

The 7-Eleven owner was just looking at me, and sometimes I even like driving a sports car instead of an old clunker because, from a worldly perspective, people cannot dismiss you as some crazy person in a broken-down car. It is nice to be able to say, “Look at what God has done in my life. He has created businesses for me and done all these amazing things. Now look at what He is about to do in Billy’s life.” When that happens, know that it is Jesus Christ and His resurrection power that did it.

Thank you, Jesus. Today is day 20 of protein shakes only, and the amount of space in my heart for loving people feels so good. Thank you, Lord.

Let’s spend some time in meditation so we can make the prophetic declarations. James 4:7 was really heavy on my heart this morning. “Therefore, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

As we begin to slow our hearts and breathe in the breath of God, we thank You, God. We praise Your name, Lord Jesus Christ, for all the ways that You love us. Thank You, Father God. Praise Your name. Thank You, Lord Jesus. We are meditating on James 4:7. “Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Last night the Holy Spirit awoke me at about 2:20 in the morning, and it sounded like someone was trying to break into our bedroom, like the door was jostling.

At first I checked whether Hannah had gotten out of bed, because my two sons were at their mom’s, so it was just me, Hannah, and the girls in their cribs. But Hannah was right there next to me. We had locked up the house, so unless someone had broken in, we were dealing with a demonic manifestation at the door.

The night before, there was a storm in Chicago and this gigantic bolt of lightning and thunder shook the whole house and startled me awake. Something made me look over at my wife’s closet, and there were two glowing eyes coming out of the closet. At first I wondered whether I was still in dreamland. I also thought maybe Hannah had gotten up and turned on the closet light. She usually gets out of bed before me. But I looked over, and there was Hannah. Then I looked again, and sure enough, there were the eyes staring at me from the closet.

In both of these situations, and this is where I want to get into James 4:7, I know there are testimonies of saints like Padre Pio literally fighting Satan well into the night, to the point where his fellow friars had to revive him from being knocked unconscious. But I have also heard other testimonies where people just acknowledge Satan and go back to bed.

So in both situations, I literally said, “Oh, it’s just you, Satan,” and went back to bed. With the doorknob jostling, that one took a little more discernment because, as the man of the house, I also have to protect my wife and children. I had to discern whether it was an intruder I needed to fight or a spiritual attack. When I realized it was a demon trying to harm my sleep, that is when I said, “Oh, it is just you, Satan,” and went back to bed.

Dan: As you were saying this, I basically saw a dragon move past. So there is manifestation. I think what you have declared is going to be true. Before you go further, I think we should quickly pray over you.

Lord, I lift up my dear brother in Christ, Chris, and his family. There is a reason the enemy is trying to attack him. He is deeply engaged in warfare for the kingdom. You have anointed his eyes, his voice, and his mind so that he can wage warfare on behalf of the kingdom. He is planting mighty seeds in the lives of people he has never met before, and he is not holding back.

He is building a ministry with Your resurrection power where deliverance is prayed over people so they can walk in their power, authority, and love for Christ Jesus. His wife and he are actively creating worship songs that will bring heaven down and help people feel the love of God. His children are also on fire, living lives that reflect evangelists, prophets, and teachers, glorifying Christ in their own lives.

I understand that the enemy has tried to find a loophole through which he can observe my brother. First of all, I take authority and plead the blood of Christ Jesus over my brother and his family. Whatever eyes were there, shut them down in the name of Christ Jesus. After today, they will have no further authority or dominion in that place. Leave right now.

Second, I lift up my brother’s health, finances, and future, particularly as he engages in deeper warfare against the dark one. May he be completely protected. The enemy may try to rattle him, but he has not won the battle. The enemy can only try to kill, steal, and destroy, and he is the father of lies.

Lord, anytime the enemy tries to come and attack my brother, may the prayer sword hanging over his house, the sword perfected over many years, come down on the enemy like never before. I pronounce judgment on whatever the enemy has sent. You have no more authority. Go back to the foot of the cross and let Christ deal with you.

Jesus, please intercede so that my brother is protected. I know he is protected, and nothing wrong will befall him. But I ask You to let him feel the warm embrace of God where the enemy has tried to make him feel watched and vulnerable. Let him feel that he is being watched by God and that he is well protected. In the mighty name of Christ, I release this. Amen and amen.

Chris: Amen. You know, what was coming to mind with this James 4:7 is that, Dan, you were delivered from Hinderer and the correlated Hinder. The team saw Ahab, Destroyer, and Hinderer. Therefore you now have grace in your life to know the name of your strongman demon.

We know from Matthew 12:43 that when Hinderer, Ahab, and Destroyer were cast off of you, seven more demonic spirits were going to try to come back. But now Jesus says resist.

From my perspective, I have also battled Hinderer in my life because that was my strongman demon, and my correlated bruise is that I feel like a failure. Where you feel insufficient, I feel like a failure.

What I am trying to say is that when my finances crumbled in 2020, 2022, and 2024, I do not think I actually saw Satan using Hinderer to hinder my finances and harm me. I just saw it from a worldly perspective and thought, “My business is going through another cycle.”

I was not resisting. I also never specifically said, “Hinderer, back off. You are trying to come back. No thank you. Get out of here.” That is something we have to be aware of, especially when our strongman demon has been named. Once we know the specific way Satan has assigned a demon to steal, kill, and destroy our life, we have to be aware of it.

Yes, it is awesome that the As It Is in Heaven team identified it and cast it off of you. But now, more than ever, you have to stand in your authority as a son of God. When this thing tries to come back, and Jesus said it is going to come back, then you have to be aware and take authority.

To your point, my sleep is being affected. I am awoken in the middle of the night by a jostling door. I am awoken by eyes peering at me through the closet. That is harming me. Jesus said that when you walk in His power and authority, nothing shall harm you. So I have to realize that it is hindering my sleep and take authority to say, “You are not welcome here.”

I think originally I was assuming that the higher level response was just to laugh it off, to say, “This is not harming me. This is a joke. You are just giving me another testimony.” Like, “You can keep showing up, but I am not going to give you my time or attention. I am not going to get out of bed. I am not going to waste a second on you. I love sleep because I feast on the Holy Spirit and feel so close to God while He snuggles with me all night long.”

But I do recognize that before I go to sleep, especially when things like this are happening and we have seven prophetic deliverance sessions tonight, it probably makes sense that before bed I should be praying prayers of protection, standing up angels around my bedroom, and making it clear that I am not in alignment with the enemy showing up and trying to affect me in this way.

So, God, we thank You and praise Your name. Thank You for enlightening our minds to resist the devil. We are going to feast on You. We are not going to be distracted. We are going to feast on the fact that You anoint our heads with oil and our cups overflow. We thank You that every heavenly blessing was poured out at the cross of Christ, so there is nothing to be afraid of. We continue to pursue You, God. There are only two ways in life. We are either following You, Jesus, or we are not. I choose to follow Your beloved Son, our Lord and Savior, the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Thank You, Lord.

I’m just going to slip into some meditation here now.

I’m sorry for being so long-winded today on the testimony about Billy and also the demonic oppression I was experiencing this weekend. We will do a shorter meditation today, and I feel like it is pretty clear what God is saying for this week. Nancy, since you have been with us, what were you perceiving in the spirit? Dan, same to you. What are you seeing?

Nancy: Good morning, guys. Sorry I’m not on camera, but I’m with you and listening. I do not know what else to say. For me, I was just in the spirit of glorifying God and thanking Him for both your testimonies, and for the reassurance that He is with us. If we do not give the devil a chance and keep our focus on Him, all will be well with us as believers.

Chris: Praise God forevermore. Thank you, Nancy.

Dan: For me, what I kept seeing, and what the Holy Spirit reminded me, is for every one of us. Just like in the Firstfruits image where we see a basket of fruit, God is going to give all of us peace, and it is going to be as rich and satisfying as the fruits in that image. Fruits of peace will be our portion.

Chris: I kept seeing my heart being pulled out of my chest, and I saw the Lord put His own heart in my chest. Then the memory of hugging Billy while he cried on my shoulder kept replaying over and over again. I felt like the Lord was saying, “Look for opportunities to hug evil off of people. Love people so well that, even through our earthly acts of love, as the Lord gives us new hearts to love the lost, shattered, and broken, loving them well will cast demons off of people simply through supernatural love.”

So we continue to lift up Billy and Abby, those other two girls at Chick-fil-A, the man after Mass yesterday, and Jonathan, the homeless man. God, I pray that You would continue to love the demonic spirits off of them.

Lord, the man that Dan encountered who was passed out from the drug overdose, and the woman at the church whose headaches he called out, and also Moren, I pray that You would love them. Let the love we have shown overwhelm them so much, and overwhelm the demonic spirits clinging to them so much, that those spirits fall off because of the love that has been demonstrated to them.

Thank You, God. Thank You for giving me, Dan, Nancy, and all of the As It Is in Heaven ministry Your heart for the lost, the shattered, and the broken. God, may we love Your people well. Thank You, Father God. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

We stand up angels around every single person in this ministry, over our family members, over our extended family members, over our businesses, and over our ministries. Thank You, Father God. Praise Your name. May warring angels come to help us transform and renew our minds so that we have the heart of God inside each of us to love people supernaturally. Thank You, Father God. Praise Your name, oh God.

Jesus, please bless us, our minds, our families, our futures, our travels, and our health. Please lead us into an amazing future where we can have the Father’s heart and love others the way You have loved them. In the mighty name of Christ, amen.
